A look at the Priority Notifications feature in the first developer beta of iOS 18.4.

KOMPUTER JADUL-, Apple has released the first developer beta of iOS 18.4 with Priority Notifications support while testing the operating system update for iPhone and Mac.

According to a report by The Verge on Saturday (22/2), early testers have found support for Priority Notifications in the iOS 18.4 preview.

The feature is heavily powered by Apple Intelligence, which uses on-device processing to detect and sort which notifications are most important and sort them into a separate section above the rest.

According to a report by 9to5Mac , Priority Notifications is turned off by default in the first developer beta of iOS 18.4, but users can enable it with a toggle in the notification area in the settings menu.

In an official update about the new round of beta releases (iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, tvOS 18.4, visionOS 2.4, and watchOS 11.4), Apple noted that the iOS and iPadOS updates will also include support for setting a default translation app for users around the world.

EU users subject to the Digital Markets Act will also get the ability to change a default navigation app.

On iPhone, the iOS 18.4 beta also previews a new app for Vision Pro owners to browse the headset’s app store, cue up videos to watch, and install apps remotely.

Apple also just announced a new Apple News Plus Food section for iPhone and iPad, which will feature tens of thousands of recipes formatted for use on users’ mobile devices.
