KOMPUTER JADUL-, Technology company Infinix has revealed a new smartphone concept display that can be folded vertically in three, not wanting to be left behind by its competitors in technology in presenting some of its current product innovations.
Following Huawei which showed off the sophistication of its three-folding phone in September 2024, the company introduced the Infinix ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold Concept Device according to GizmoChina's broadcast on Thursday (27/2).
The concept phone has a three-fold design with a dual hinge that can be folded vertically, offering a different form factor to suit a variety of uses.
Unlike ordinary foldable phones that can only be expanded to look like tablets, the Infinix three-folding phone concept can be used as a standard phone, a fitness companion device, and a compact camera system.
This device can also be attached to a fitness equipment for tracking exercise modes, clipped to a backpack for action photography, or used as a standard smartphone.
The outward-folding design of the phone allows for dual-screen functionality, making live multilingual conversations with translated content visible to both users simultaneously.
The same configuration could transform the device into a premium camera system, using the main camera for high-quality photos while also providing a screen for perfect framing.
For fitness enthusiasts, the concept includes a strap accessory that can also be attached to fitness equipment, bike handlebars, or a car dashboard.
This functionality would allow users to track workouts, follow workout routines, or navigate routes hands-free.
When folded into its most compact form, Infinix’s concept device could function as a slim, lightweight phone designed to be comfortable to use with one hand.
It’s unclear at this point if Infinix plans to bring its tri-fold concept to international markets.
Still, the ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold adds fresh ideas to a smartphone landscape that can sometimes feel a bit repetitive.
